Naming Value
Beware facile narratives of progress
The world is getting better, so long as you narrow your definition of “better” to averages of what is measurable, technologically possible, and good for consumers. But that progress has costs; the past has virtues we are losing or have lost.
In this quarterly print newsletter, I curate little ideas and stories that help me see and label the tension between totalizing progress and less legible values. Each issue is a single sheet of paper, folded into its own envelope. Learn more about the project here.
